We are pleased to announce the successful launch of the CRISTAL IN-PROVA project on October 9th, 2024.

The CRISTAL IN-PROVA project is dedicated to creating a comprehensive roadmap for the calibration and validation of CRISTAL Level-2 data products, which span critical cryosphere domains, such as sea ice, icebergs, land ice, and inland water systems. In addition, the project will offer tools to assess the proposed validation methods and measurements, while ensuring that the results meet the stringent mission requirements.

This initiative directly supports the core objectives of the CRISTAL mission, aimed at monitoring key climate indicators in polar regions—a critical endeavor for the global scientific community.
